Blantyre Soccer Academy

"Building a Sustainable Future"

Blantyre Soccer Academy uses football to improve health, self esteem and social cohesion within a community affected by higher rates of crime and unemployment than the national avergae. They were awarded funds to purchase new training equipment and other items allowing them to expand their youth outreach programmes.


Adel Pre-School

"Outdoor Learning"

Adel Pre-School, based in Leeds, were awarded funds to construct an outdoor play area. With specific focus on sensory elements, this resource will assist in the learning and development of children and families.


St John Ambulance

"North West Cycle Response Unit"

St John

St John Ambulance (SJA) is the nations leading first aid charity, teaching 800,000 people potentially life-saving skills every year. Their North West Cycle Response Unit were awarded funds to provide training, uniforms and specially kitted-out bicycles to colunteer first-aiders in the region. Their grant also allowed them to purchase a gazebo and other items to support their presence at events in the area.


Sea Cadets

Birmingham Vernon Sea Cadets

"Ship, Shape and Sporty"

£12,450

Birmingham Vernon Sea Cadets provide young people with guidance, support, training and nationally recognised qualifications. This award enabled their cadets to attain British Canoeing qualifications in kayaking, become peer instructors, compete in regattas/competitions and build their confidence in participating in water-sport activity. The grant covered the purchase of kayaks, paddles and safety gear.
